Our philosophy is very simple.
We believe that a perfect listening experience involves not just one but two of the senses: hearing and vision. What we hear is influenced by what we see.
At Stevnert Orpheus we strive not only to achieve perfect reproduction of sound that preserves all the purity, openness, width and depth of the original, but we also aim for aesthetic perfection in the design of our loudspeakers and vacuum amplifiers. Creating sound and style in perfect harmony with the listener and the surroundings.
Our products satisfy the most sophisticated tastes and aesthetic values.
our
vision
is based on a fundamental commitment and aspiration
to realize the most natural and true sound reproduction in accordance with the surrounding space, including the aesthetic needs of our soul.
The human ear makes all the difference.
Creation of a world class speaker begins and ends with acoustic engineering, testing and benchmarking. To make excellent sound, we not only trust scientific tools, we trust the most natural analytical tool the human ear.
Essentially, it is all about sound and the way our senses distinguish different sounds. To interpret an emotion in order to create a hi-end loudspeaker you need engineering, but more importantly, you need the work of a human.
At Stevnert Orpheus, we make the most authentic audio experience, not by being overly expressive, but by being efficient and precise. Paying meticulous attention to every detail from material and finish in close concert with the sound performance.
Our flagship and most imposing loudspeaker, the Stevnert Orpheus ZEPPELIN is worthy of its pinnacle position in the loudspeaker world. It owes its striking design to a simple but profound idea: that curved surfaces and smooth lines produce a cleaner, more transparent and more honest sound than conventional flat planes and angles. A true two-way system, the Stevnert Orpheus ZEPPELIN uses three separate drivers to bring you the most seamless, realistic and transparent sound, revealing your favourite music in more detail than you ever imagined possible.

Ideal shape for a speaker
From an acoustical perspective, a sphere is considered the ideal shape for a speaker due to the low diffraction and frequency disturbance. However, due to a high degree of difficulty in manufacturing this shape is often not employed. That's why we used the ellipsoid as a compromise between sound and design.

MATERIALS
noble materials make sound
more pure
Why handcrafted speakers in solid wood?
The short answer: it sounds better.
Stradivarius violoncellos and Steinway pianos have always been made of solid wood. Each piece of material has its own "acoustics." The easiest way to experience this is to just knock with your fingers on it and it will reply. Solid wood will "reply" with a harmonic sound with overtones that can be used in music. If one does the same test on other materials commonly used in speaker construction like MDF, for example, it produces "noise" with less musical tone and no harmonic overtones. A speaker cabinet with this material will interfere with the music in complex ways and the music will lose fundamental qualities. Solid wood is also stronger and will last for many generations.
Thats why Stevnert Orpheus loudspeakers are made in solid wood.
Damping material
Stevnert Orpheus uses genuine British sheep's wool as damping material. Cleaned, washed and carded, this is the most natural damping solution due to its structure and its longevity in maintaining stable damping properties. Only the world's best and most exclusive hi-end loudspeakers use this material in cabinets.
Like the warmest British sheep's wool sweater that protects you from the cold, sheep's wool insulates your ears from unwanted sounds.
Pedestal
Just like a house, great sound must also be built on a stable foundation. And the weight of a loudspeaker should not be a compromise: the heavier the better. Acoustic vibrations cause a cabinet to move back and forth and the less vibration and movement of the cabinet the cleaner the sound it's a very simple rule of physics.
Combining the right amount of weight with timeless beauty, Stevnert Orpheus uses Swedish black granite and Italian green marble as its speaker base.

iQ tubeAmp
Vacuum tube amplifiers remain desirable among audiophiles because of their open, warm and natural sound - the signature of vacuum tube amplifier distortions is very different and more pleasing to the human ear than transistor alternatives.
Stevnert Orpheus Single-Ended Class A Tube Amplifier will always perform in greater harmony with the listener's ability to hear and feel the sound. On that belief, we built our commitment to enable listeners to truly experience their music. To be immersed in a sound stage that is at once compelling and convincing yet always pleasant and comfortable, it is possible to enjoy the music for many hours without ever feeling tired. This underpins our aspiration to realize natural and true sound reproduction in any given space, while at the same time meeting aesthetic values.
Stevnert Orpheus vacuum tube amplifiers deliver true natural sound. Built to our own novel circuit design and layout and using only the very highest quality components, they scale to the pinnacle level of performance. Importantly, they achieve this without masking and correcting amplification inaccuracies by relying on the negative feedback loop; a technique used in most other designs. In this way, we achieve a natural, smooth and remarkably accurate sound picture.
Our IQ tubeAmp is handmade, produced and assembled in Denmark and Poland.
